The Technique
What is Transcendental Meditation?
Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural mental technique. TM provides a profound level of rest to both mind and body, leading to increased energy and well-being. It is easy to learn and easy to practice. This is one of the most remarkable things about Transcendental Meditation: it depends solely on a natural ability of the human mind. The mind will enjoy silence once it knows how to. It is easy and natural.
As the mind settles down into silence, the body enjoys a profound level of rest, which is deeper even than deep sleep. The benefits are enormous. With less tiredness and greater energy, the quality of one’s life improves. Health improves. A sustained sense of well-being develops.
Transcendental Meditation is profoundly beneficial for those who practise it. TM is capable of enhancing a broader, collective consciousness.

Even if you’ve had a hard day, or you’re traveling, or are in a noisy environment, the technique will work well. If you can have a thought, you can practice Transcendental Meditation. This is part of the reason of why TM is so effective – wherever you are and regardless of the circumstances, it is a reliable means to gain a profound quality of rest and come out with greater clarity, less stress, and more energy.
