Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

“A direct experience of the blissful nature of the soul and the inner man is completely transformed.” -Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Transcendental Meditation has its origin in the Vedic traditions of ancient India. In modern times the knowledge of Transcendental Meditation has been revived by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Maharishi studied for many years under his teacher before founding a worldwide organisation in 1957 to pass on the knowledge he had gained.

Maharishi first came to London in 1960. His achievements have been profound in terms of knowledge and immense in terms of action. During the past 50 years, more than five million people have learned the Transcendental Meditation technique. Maharishi trained over 40,000 teachers, opened thousands of teaching centres, and founded hundreds of schools, colleges and universities.
