I woke up today with  spring in my step. A feeling of calm, like a weight had been lifted, circumvented around me. I was heading to the dining hall to get some chai. Something in me was buzzing, yet I briefly noticed an aspect of myself that was untouched even by this tremendous feeling of happiness.

I went into the kitchen and all the chai was gone. It was not a big deal to me, as I was just passing time and looking for my friends. However some discomfort came when I just turned around and walked out. It was as if I took on some of the judgment that the others (in the dining hall) felt as a result of me having to leave without a great cup of chai tea.

The feeling stayed and I noticed my thoughts swimming around this weird feeling for about 20 seconds. I reflected on how just one minute before (walking in) I was”buzzing” and now, some weirdness. Then, again I was able to see this aspect of myself that goes untouched by any fleeting emotion or action. This space is perfect balance. This space, pure and untouchable can eliminate obstacles that are inherent with the myriad of judgment that enters my awareness daily.

As I become more aligned with this, I feel myself lighten… I become more and more free.
